By car: Montone ~ 10 minutes, Umbertide ~ 15 minutes, Florence ~ 2 hours, Rome ~ 2.5 hours

Perugia airport 30 minutes ~
Exit and follow directions towards Perugia. You will shortly come to the E 45. There will be a sign towards Ravenna on the right. Follow this sign and not the Perugia sign and after about 20 minutes you will arrive at the Montone exit where you leave the E 45. Perugia is the closet airport & only 30 minutes door to door.

Ancona aiport 1.5/2 hours ~
From the airport take the direction signed autostrada.
As you come over the bridge the road will split. Take the right hand lane direction Roma & Fabriano.
Once you pick up the signs for Fabriano follow these until just outside the town.
Do not go into Fabriano, but keep following the signs to Perugia and Gubbio.
Once you reach the outskirts of Gubbio, follow signs to Umbertide.
When you reach the centre of Umbertide, follow signs to Montone. It will take about 90 minutes to the house

Rome Fiumicino International airport 2 hours ~
Coming out of the airport follow the signs towards Roma and A1 (direction Firenze). For the first few kilometres, you will be on the Grande Raccordo Annulare (GRA), the ring road around Rome. Take the exit for Firenze and points north and continue to follow all signs to the A1 and Firenze.
Leave the GRA at the Firenze A1 exit. Before you join on the A1, you will come to a toll booth, where you will pick up a ticket. Avoid the lanes that say Viacard or Telepass.
Continue north on the A1 to the Orte exit. Pay toll and turn right after the toll booth, following the signs to Perugia, Cesena (E45). Some distance from the Orte toll booth, you will have to exit to the right in order to follow the road to Perugia, Cesena.
Stay the E45 for about 70km to and past Perugia, where you must be careful not to take the right exit marked Perugia / Firenze. Instead, stay straight, always following the signs to Cesena.
Continue north on E45 past Perugia, exiting to the right at Montone / Pietralunga, which is about 30 minutes north of Perugia and well south of Cesena, and just past the 105km road sign.This airport is 2.5 hours from the house.
