Villa Col Di Casale is well situated to explore the glorious towns of Umbria & Tuscany. Assisi, Perugia, Cortona, Gubbio, Arezzo & San Sepulcro are all within 45 minutes. A little further afield lies Spoleto, Siena, Todi & Orvieto. Even Florence & Rome are only 2 hours away.

Ten minutes drive from the house is the medieval fortress town of Montone, recently voted one of the most beautiful hilltop towns in all of Italy. It has 2 very fine restaurants and an annual film festival in early July.

    

A further five minutes brings you to Umbertide, a charming working town with a large supermarket, banks and everything you could possibly require.

There is a wealth of cultural activity in the area with countless festivals which include international theatre & music in Spoleto, film in Montone, international jazz in Perugia, & classical music festivals in Cortona, Citta di Castello & Magione, amongst many others.There are medieval pageants in Arezzo, San Sepolcro & of course the famous Palio in Siena.
